The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in Baltimore and central Maryland for early Thursday morning until 1 p.m.
Between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. Thursday, Baltimore and the surrounding counties will see freezing rain until the precipitation transitions to rain.
The NWS also issued an ice storm warning to include Washington and Frederick counties until 10 p.m. Thursday. Significant icing is likely with ice accumulation up to a quarter of an inch.

- Cecil County Public Schools will open two hours late.
- Frederick County Public Schools will open two hours late.
- Friends School of Baltimore will open two hours late.
- Harford County Public Schools will open two hours late.
- Howard County Public Schools will open two hours late.
- Montgomery County Public Schools will open two hours late.
- Mercy High School will open two hours late.
- McDonogh School will open two hours late.
- Prince George’s County Public Schools will open two hours late.
Colleges and universities on delay
- Bowie State University will open at 10 a.m.
- Carroll Community College will open at 12 p.m.
- Coppin State University will open at 10 a.m.
- Frederick Community College will open at 11 a.m.
- Harford County Community College will open at 10 a.m.
- Howard Community College is operating on Code Red status until 10 a.m.
- Towson University will open at 10 a.m.
- University of Maryland, Baltimore County will open at 10 a.m.
- University of Maryland, College Park will open at 10 a.m.

- Baltimore City offices under liberal leave until 10 a.m.
